A few dramatic days, and some grey skies, and a bit of hail at Bondi Beach too!

Too hot

Nevertheless, I went for a walk though Sydney's China Town, and then through the Chinese Garden of Friendship. All taken with the Sigma 85mm.

Too hot

Really, 38 is too hot for doing anything much. So I went for a long walk :)

It might have been too hot for walking (I had to keep stopping to eat icecream), but Bondi, Tamarama and Coogee all looked a picture!

It's been too hot in Sydney lately, though that is also a great reason to go swimming every day.

The young surfers were out at Maroubra Beach this weekend.

Cold, rainy and then very clear, and then cloudy again. Sydney's winter.

Centennial Park

It's one of the places in Sydney that's not too far from where I live, and which is always worth visiting, because there is always something happening, small or large. In this case just some great light.

My day at Coogee, in four photos.

Happy New Year!

Here are a few photos from Coogee and Bondi beaches, of New Year's Eve, and sunrise on New Year's Day. I hope you have a very good 2016.

It's been such a hot week in Sydney.

I find myself at Carriageworks fairly frequently, usually with much to do! So it was satisfying to walk around with a camera for a while.

Cockatoos and Kookaburras

A few recent wildlife shots from around Sydney. It's a city with a surprising diversity of impressive wildlife.

26 January 2015

Wet and cool. The weekend was so hot and humid that it's a welcome change, except for the people celebrating Australia Day with bbqs and picnics.

Here are a couple of shots of Coogee, just before 9am.
